Bangkok is the Capital of Thailand and one of the major tourist destinations of the world. While visiting Bangkok there is more to see than Pratunam Market! Here are some of the highlights we recommend.

Grand Palace – Nobody can visit Bangkok without visiting the Grand Palace. Open to visitors from 8:30 to 3:30 in the afternoon every day of the week. It is located on the river and just 5 km away from the market.

Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) - The most sacred Buddhist temple in the country, it is inside the Grand Palace grounds.

Wat Pho – The world famed Buddhist temple lets you see the tranquil part of life that forms the foundation for Thai life. Right next to the Grand Palace it is open even day to visitors until 5PM.

Siam Park City – The best theme and water park in Bangkok! Rides for the family, and great fun for all. Open daily it is located 30km east of the market, just outside the city center.

Lumpini Park – Situated between Rama IV and Wireless Road this rare open space in Bangkok is also near major embassies including USA and Japan.

Bobae Market in Rattanakosin

Bobae Market which is a sister to Pratunam! While Pratunam is the premier wholesale garment market in Bangkok Bobae has many interesting things as well.

Similar discount garment shops, but much more outdoor stalls are to be found at Bo Bae. Located on Krung Kasem Road look for the Bridges.

Bobae Tower building is where more shops are located, here small quantities are welcomed but much of the business is for Russian buyers. Both Market and the Tower open early in the morning, by 6am, but also closed by 6pm. There is no night market at Bo Bae Market.
